Bringing together the capabilities of Middle River Aircraft Systems (MRAS) and Safran Nacelles, Nexcelle has teamed with its parent companies to develop, produce and support integrated propulsion systems for jet engine applications on single-aisle jetliners and business aircraft.

The cooperation is patterned after the GE/Safran CFM International joint venture, which has a 40-plus-year record of excellence as a supplier to aircraft operators worldwide, with more than 20,000 CFM56 engines delivered.

In an innovative approach, Nexcelle and its parent companies are working together in evolving truly integrated propulsion systems. As part of their seamless cooperation, Nexcelle uses the same design tools, operating practices, and business processes as CFM International.

The result is aircraft propulsion systems that are more operationally efficient, cost-effective and aerodynamically optimized.

Safran Nacelles is a business of Safran, an international high-technology group operating in the aircraft propulsion and equipment, space and defense markets.

MRAS is a subsidiary of GE Aviation. In September 2018, it was announced that MRAS will be acquired by Vision Technologies Aerospace Incorporated (VT Aerospace) – the U.S. subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. Subject to regulatory approvals and conditions, this proposed acquisition is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2019.
