SAS has been providing air ambulance support since 1985 and is one of the largest HEMS operators in the UK, working with the British Helicopter Association, the Association of Air Ambulances and its membership to be at the forefront of world class emergency medical support 24 hours a day.

Our medical aviation services include the supply of helicopters with specially designed medical interiors and their crews. We also provide specialist HEMS crewmember training for our customers’ own doctors and paramedics. In order to ensure we can maximise the on-line availability of the emergency medical services offered, we provide 24/7 back-up with spare helicopters, extra crews, locally based field engineers and we also hold an extensive inventory of spare parts.
