Since its founding in 1961, ESSCO has successfully produced and installed over 5,000 ground-based radomes and more than ten of the world's most precise radio telescopes and reflectors.  Actual field experience and extensive testing by our technical team and by our customers, has proved the accuracy of our analytical predictions and the performance of our products.  We continue to expand our products and portfolio and to develop capabilities for even a broader range of products and services including:

ESSCO is made up of two manufacturing facilities, including a headquarters and 163,210 square foot manufacturing facility in Ayer, MA and a 30,000 square foot manufacturing and corporate space near Shannon Airport in County Clare, Ireland.  The latter, ESSCO Collins Limited, was founded in 1975 and offers identical design, engineering and manufacturing processes as ESSCO in the U.S. It also offers the full gamut of field services to better serve customers in Europe.

In 1998, L3, a Fortune 250 company (NYSE: LLL) acquired both ESSCO and ESSCO Collins Limited.  L3 is a top ten defense contractor in the United States a prime contractor in aerospace systems and national security solutions. L3 is also a leading provider of a broad range of communication and electronic systems and products used on military and commercial platforms.  The acquisition provided both companies with the financial stability to fund continued growth and product development, as well as immense technical expertise and resources.  ESSCO and ESSCO Collins Limited operate as subsidiaries of L3 Technologies, Inc.
