Do you remember the time when even a small airline was not only doing the daily nursing of its aircraft but also had hangar “back-shops” doing various lines of in-house component maintenance? Several national Airlines were even maintaining its own portfolio of complete Engines, APU´s, Landing Gears and aircraft structural repairs. What happened then after the deregulation of the Airline business? Well, today the majority of the Airlines have decided to concentrate to Fly and Serve its passengers whereby a number of related activities have been outsourced among such the Component MRO.

The old school being Time and Material then new services were offered – “Flight hour costs”, “Fixed prices”, “Cap cost programmes”, “Flat rate exchange”, “Leasing and Rental programmes”, “Hour and Cycle differential costs”, just to mention a few!” No matter the nature – its an insurance giving the airline a fixed budgetary figure. However a budgetary figure is no way similar to the true costs.

The component maintenance today implies the know-how of the MRO procedures and market conditions. “Overhaul – Life Limitations”, “Repair process”, “Mandatory and Optional Modifications”, “Service-Bulletins”, “Service Instruction Letters”, “AD-notes”, “Sub-assy repair”, “DER
repairs”, “FOD repairs”, “warranty and pro-rata warranty procedures”, “Soft times calculations” and it goes on for miles……!

We know that every airline has the skills to tell us the status of their components and our airline customers know that RepMan has the skills to return the components into the status required – in other words – hand over the MRO commercial business to RepMan. We are here because we care about lower costs than a budgetary figure – since 1998.
