Hercules Heat Treating Corporation, located in historic Brooklyn, New York, has served a sizeable portion of the defense and commercial aerospace industries for more than 65 years. Entrepreneurship and an eye on upcoming national prosperity led Joseph J. Rizzo – along with first cousins Angelo and Joseph G.Rizzo – to found the company in 1949.

Hercules remains owned and operated by several new generations of the Rizzo family. Today, two of the founders' sons – Anthony I. Rizzo and Joseph J. Rizzo Jr.– continue to run the company. And a third generation member, Anthony P. Rizzo, has joined ranks to insure continuity and growth as Hercules moves successfully forward into the twenty-first century.
